Abbotsbury Swannery
Welcome to Abbotsbury Swannery on the Jurassic Coast. The world’s only managed colony of nesting Mute Swans.
Abbotsbury Swannery is a unique wildlife attraction located in Dorset, England. It is the only managed colony of nesting mute swans in the world, established by Benedictine monks over 600 years ago.
Abbotsbury Swannery is open every day from 10am-5pm, with last entry by 4pm. The Swannery is open Mid-March until End of October, and is closed November until Mid-March.
The Swannery is home to around 600 free-flying swans and offers a rare opportunity to observe these majestic birds in their natural habitat.
Visitors can experience the daily feeding of the swans, enjoy walking trails, and explore the beautiful surroundings of the Fleet Lagoon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In addition to the swans, the site also features a willow maze, pedal go-karts, a coffee shop, gift shop, and a peaceful, family-friendly environment.
