Bournemouth One is providing a brand new radio format, covering the town and surrounding areas including Christchurch and Poole, along with nearby east Dorset towns and villages.

The radio station plays ‘the best songs on the radio’ and provides essential local information, including news and travel, 24 hours a day. Bournemouth One has a positive vibe and promotes all that is good in the area. Ask your smart device to "Play Bournemouth One".

Their target audience is adults, 30+, with a female bias. Music is focused on the ‘80s to 20s’ with occasional classics from the 60s and 70s. Bournemouth One appeals to the whole family, safe for the kids, entertainment for the adults, and always plays well known songs from established artists.

To keep the station clutter free, they have limited sponsorship opportunities for companies who want to invest during the initial online period. Bournemouth One will launch on local DAB radio as soon as a local service becomes available in 2026.

Online measurements from their first quarter (Jan-March’24) revealed an audience of 8,500 listeners each month. Joining them at this early stage will offer long-term benefits including lower rates as the audience and availability grows.

A 13 week campaign with Bournemouth One will reach over 25,000 people in the area, bolstered by the fact that more people are now listening to the radio online via smart speakers and apps, rather than FM and AM radio.
