Marketing Consultancy Sessions with Halo Associates

As ’24 drew to a close, we spread some festive cheer by offering complimentary consultancy sessions with two of our Halo powerhouses, our Founder, Jess Bain, and our Creative Strategist, Dani Nodwell. Our mission? To help businesses get ready for 2025.

During these valuable sessions, we had the pleasure of connecting with companies from a range of industries, each with its own unique challenges. We focused on sharing creative insights and practical, impactful strategies, so they could head into the new year with confidence. It was truly an honour to support their growth, and we look forward to seeing them thrive in 2025!

Here’s what stood out from the sessions.

  • The power of a fresh perspective

One clear theme emerged from our sessions: the value of bringing fresh eyes to your business. As the saying goes, “You can’t read the label from inside the jar.” Often, even the most experienced founders and skilled marketing teams can benefit from external, objective insights. A fresh perspective can unveil blind spots and open up opportunities for meaningful growth.

  • Practice self-compassion

The past few years have been tough for businesses across the board. Economic uncertainty, evolving market trends and limited resources have left many feeling stretched thin. Remember to reflect on the wins and challenges of the past year, and use those insights to build a stronger, more resilient strategy for the future.

  • Foundations first

You wouldn’t build a house on shoddy foundations, and the same goes for a brand who wants loyal customers. Before launching into your marketing action plan – stop. Take a few steps back and revisit and refine your business fundamentals—clarify your ‘who’, ‘what’, ‘why’ and ‘how’—and build from there. The world moves too fast to ignore this most vital step.

  • Balance creativity with realism

We all love to dream big, but don’t forget to stay grounded. While it’s important to innovate and think creatively, goals must also align with your available resources. Marketing takes time, and successful brand-building is a long-term game. Focus on creating an imaginative, but realistic, plan that prioritises incremental progress.

  • Prioritise your audience

We all know that effective marketing is about putting your audience at the centre of the narrative. But how well do you know them? Beyond highlighting your product or service, dive deeper, understand their wants and needs and then demonstrate how you can make an impact in their lives.

  • Harness the power of storytelling

Tell a story! People connect with stories. Craft narratives where your audience is at the heart, and your brand is the enabler of their aspirations. Engaging, relatable stories resonate and foster deeper connections.

  • Stand out with boldness

In a crowded market, blending in is a recipe for mediocrity. Dare to be different. Be bold and embrace a unique identity that sets you apart from your competitors. Finding inspiration from competitors is fine, but copying makes your brand unoriginal.

  • Choose trusted partners

Success often hinges on collaboration. Partner with an agency that truly understands your business goals and acts as a strategic ally rather than just a vendor.

One final thought…

The start of a new year is the perfect time to step back, evaluate and plan for the future. By embracing fresh perspectives, re-establishing your foundations and focusing on creativity and audience-first strategies, you can position your business for meaningful growth in 2025. We hope that this year is a transformational and positive one for all.
