Winners party the night away at the DMB Tourism Awards

There were major celebrations last night, as over 260 representatives from BCP’s hospitality and tourism industry attended the prestigious DMB Tourism Awards 2022 at the Pavilion Ballroom in Bournemouth.

The Destination Management Board honoured businesses from Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole across 18 different categories.

DMB Chair Craig Mathie, commented on the winners’ “colossal achievements,” saying:

“It’s fair to say that it’s been a fairly crazy couple of years since we last got to celebrate our achievements in person - and there is so very much to celebrate.

“Tonight’s successes are a testament to the resilience and ingenuity of everyone involved in our industry.”

The awards, each sponsored by a local business, included hotels, cafés, retailers, restaurants, events and attractions. There were also categories honouring rising stars, teams, educators and young innovators.

Who Dares Gyms were big winners, claiming three gold gongs and named Best of the Best. The Eating Out Gold Award went to The Noisy Lobster, with Mighty Wieners and Nusara claiming joint Silver and Drgnfly sharing Bronze with West Beach.

Castlepoint sponsored the Team of the Year Award, won by the Marsham Court Hotel Team, with silver going to Rockley Watersports Sales Team.
