Heathside Travel, a Dorset based family run company has won ‘Small Coach Operator of the Year 2023’ at the prestigious Routeone Awards in Birmingham.

The routeone Awards are the most sought-after accolades for the coach and bus sector. They recognise and celebrate achievement, innovation and the highest standards of excellence in all aspects of operating.

The luxury coach company based in Ferndown was founded in 2015 by Tim Southby. Tim had wanted to be a coach driver from a young age, and it was his ambition to run his very own coach company. Starting with just one 19 seat mini coach from his home, the business has grown to a small fleet of modern, luxury coaches from 19-55 seats. Further to their success and growth they also now offer their own day trips and holidays.

Tim said: “We are completely shocked, happy, overwhelmed, excited and just wow! It’s the highest honour we can achieve unless we grow the business from 6 vehicles to 16 vehicles, to enter Medium Coach Operator of the Year, we can’t get a higher accolade.
