TGt Meets...Jacqueline Frampton from Bayside Business Centre - IWD
Wednesday 8th March is International Women’s Day - and the theme this year is #embraceequity. Jacqueline Frampton, the owner of The Boardroom Network and Bayside Business Centre answers some interesting IWD questions...
If you have a team – do you have a gender mix? Are there challenges in achieving this? What are they?
They are a gender mix – no real challenges other than awareness of different needs and psyches
What does #embracequity mean to you?
Not a lot – women as far as I am concerned are totally equal to men and equality works both way across women & men
In which of these areas do you support women? As a woman or as an ally?
- Women and Sustainability
- Women & Wealth/Money
- Women & Work/Business
- Women In Tech
- Women in the Arts/Creative sector
- Women and Health
Or do you feel strongly about any of the above themes? Please choose one and tell us why?
Have been involved as an ally and supporter of Women across all of the above within our Women in Business Networks and now The Boardroom Network.
Which women have inspired you over the last year generally? Why?
Deanna Dykes – Step Associates – a successful woman within the Construction Industry
Penny Mordaunt MP – currently Leader of the House of Commons and I feel to be commended for the way she handled the failure of the Truss administration and the Accession – a strong & independent representative of female resolve and resilience.
Which local women have inspired you in the last year? Why?
Locally – just too many amazing women to mention here from my Network – they are all inspirational in my book.
What do you think are the biggest issues facing women this year and beyond?
The same issues that face everyone Male or Female
Why do you think it's important to have an International Women's Day?
It is important but should also be matched perhaps with an International Men’s Day.
