Exciting new chapter for Putlake Adventure Farm with the acquisition by The Salt Pig

Purbeck Restaurant and Butchery The Salt Pig have bought Putlake Farm in Langton.

The family orientated farm with outdoor play equipment and a variety of animals was previously owned by Karen and her family for almost 11 years. On their Facebook page they said; “Karen, her family and all of the staff at Putlake would like to say a huge thank you to all of their loyal and new customers for visiting over the years. We would also like to send our congratulations and best wishes to the new owners James and Becky The Salt Pig in their new venture.”

Putlake Adventure Park offers a variety of activities to do with little ones including bottle feeding the lambs & goats, groom the pony and handle the guinea pigs! They also have pigs, cows, alpacas, a Shire Horse, fluffy rabbits, chickens, donkeys, birds, tortoises and peacocks. Children can also enjoy the outdoor play area, go-karts, and tractor rides and a large indoor soft play area.

Commenting on their Facebook page, The Salt Pig said “We have plenty of long term plans for up here at the Salt Pig Farm but essentially all centre around increasing the animal experience and education of food for children (yes the soft play is staying- James is enjoying the slide far too much!!)”
