Reeve the Baker to open new Wimborne location in mid-September

A popular Southwest bakery is set to open its new Wimborne location in mid-September.

Reeve the Baker, established in 1952 and renowned for its selection of baked treats and warm atmosphere, is expanding to the High Street in Wimborne. The company already operates several locations across Somerset and Hampshire, including stores in Blandford, Sherborne, Ringwood, and Shaftesbury. The new bakery will occupy the former site of Café Aroma, which has relocated next door.

The bakery will also partner with the ‘Too Good To Go’ app, offering customers unsold food at a discounted price. Shoppers can purchase a £4 "magic bag" containing a variety of baked goods valued at £12, helping to reduce food waste while providing delicious surprises.

About: The River Stour winds throughout Dorset, eventually reaching the sea at Hengistbury Head. A great starting point for paddleboarding through he river is at Eye Bridge, located just outside Wareham. Downstream from the bridge, a small weir marks the boundary; exploring upstream from here allows access to approximately 4 miles of scenic river. It's advisable to wear wet shoes due to the stony and uneven riverbed. Please be aware that there are no facilities at this site. Exercise caution around wildlife, particularly swans inhabiting the river.
