TBN Spotlight: Faye Janes of Tasty Socials

Faye Janes is one half of the successful team at Tasty Socials who create exciting, eye-catching content that puts hospitality businesses in the spotlight. We caught up with Faye and you can hear all about her and her company in this feature of TBN Spotlight.

Tell us a little bit about your business

We are a husband and wife team that lives and breathes social media and content creation. We offer businesses affordable social media management, photography and videography, including capturing content at small/medium sized events. We specialise in working with hospitality businesses, but we are open to expanding into other areas too.
• What are some of the most popular services that you provide?
Our most popular service is social media management. We enjoy collaborating with businesses that seek to enhance their social media presence with visually appealing and creative content. This service also allows us to build long-standing business relationships.
• Has there been a particular business highlight this year?
We were approached by a business that we classed as our 'dream client'! It's a hospitality business we have always enjoyed visiting, so when they reached out and said they wanted to start warking with us, we were thrilled! It was one of our goals for the year that we wrote down. So it's a lesson to us all....write down your goals if you want them to happen!
• What do you enjoy most about networking?
I love building relationships with people, and I love it when those relationships turn into long-term friendships, too.
• What do you love about working in the geographical area that you work?
We have only lived in Dorset since 2021, but we are still so in love with the area. I love being beside the sea and the whole coastal, beachy vibe. Working with businesses in this area really is a dream come true, and it makes content creation even more interesting when such beautiful areas are on our doorstep.
• When you're not busy working, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love walking! I mix it up between coast and country and always end with a nice meal in a cosy pub. Perfect! I also love to paddle board (although I haven't managed to master standing up yet!!) and I enjoy the gym and watching football too.
• What are your favourite places to visit locally?
Corfe Castle is a favourite. I love all the history in the village, the cottages and the beautiful surrounding areas. It's somewhere that is great in both summer and winter. I also love Hengistbury Head. The views up there are stunning, plus it's great exercise getting up that hill!
• Tell us any other interesting facts about you that you think people would like to know...
In my teenage years, I was approached by several modelling agencies. I'm naturally quite introverted, and I don't like being centre of attention, so I never pursued modelling, but I have always wondered how different life would have been if I had followed that path.
