TGt Mees: With Breeze Volkswagen Apprentice Max Spiers
In honour of Apprenticeship week, we spoke with an Apprentice, Max Spiers, over at Breeze Motor Group to find out more about his position, aspirations and what he loves about an apprenticeship!
1. What inspired you to pursue an apprenticeship?
I worked part time at a garage, loved it and want to carry on this career path.
2. Which field are you working in and studying?
Vehicle maintenance and repair.
3. What is one thing you look forward to when going to work?
The people I work with.
4. Can you describe a time when you faced a difficult challenge in your apprenticeship, and how you overcame it?
Electrical work can be a hard job but support from my mentor and other team members help a lot.
5. How do you approach working with others, especially those who may have more experience than you?
I enjoy working with others and take on as much knowledge as possible.
6. What is a long-term career goal that you have, and how will your apprenticeship help you achieve it?
To become a Volkswagen accredited diagnostic technician with a view to becoming master technician.
7. What’s one thing you hope to gain from this apprenticeship experience?
The knowledge and skillset to be the best technician I can be.
