TGt Meets... Kate Jenkins of Bizzybeez Childcare

Kate Jenkins, of Bizzybeez Childcare, is the latest business owner to be a part of our TGt Meets series.

1. What inspired you to start Bizzybeez Childcare?

After raising my own family, I felt I wanted to work with children and their families providing a caring and nurturing environment for children to thrive and grow as individuals. That’s when I decided to open Bizzybeez Childcare.

2. How has Bizzybeez Childcare evolved over the years, and what are some of the changes that you have implemented to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of children and families in your community?

Bizzybeez is a new up and coming childcare provider. Our mission is to provide a caring, warm and safe environment for children to enjoy developmentally appropriate play experiences.

3. How do you ensure that the children in your care are safe in their learning and development?

The children are in a safe, secure environment where all the staff help to ensure all children develop socially, physically, emotionally and cognitively whilst in our care.

4. What are some of the most important values that you instil in the children at Bizzybeez Childcare, and how do you go about teaching these values?

At Bizzybeez Childcare we have a child-friendly environment where all children are treated as individuals and learn to socialise and develop their own personalities whilst being in a homely nurturing environment. Learning through play and their own experiences.

5. How do you work with parents and families to ensure that they are involved in their child's learning and development, and how do you communicate with them effectively?

I feel very strongly about parent partnerships and parents should be involved in every step of their child’s learning and development while they are at Bizzybeez. I believe in an open door policy and parents are constantly updated on their child’s development through observations, reports and parents meetings as well as daily updates when picking up their child.

6. What advice would you give to someone who is interested in starting their own childcare business?

If you are thinking about opening your own childcare business I would say if you are passionate about childcare that will show in the business you are thinking of opening.

7. What are your plans for the future of Bizzybeez Childcare, and how do you see the center growing and evolving in the years to come?

I hope that Bizzybeez Childcare will grow and develop as it becomes established. Providing many years of childcare to future generations.
