TGt Meets…the Minterne House Tea Terrace
Minterne House is an enchanting country venue that blends Georgian elegance with tranquil landscaped gardens. In this Tgt Meets you can learn all about their Tea Terrace.
What types of teas and refreshments are offered at the Tea Terrace?
We offer a variety of Dorset Teas, barista coffees, homemade cakes, scones, desserts, and savoury lunches. All our cakes and lunches are made in the house and tailored to include seasonal produce. We offer a selection of sweets and savoury for vegan, gluten free, and other dietary requirements.
Do you have any signature dishes or specialties that guests particularly enjoy?
Customers come time and time again to the Tea Terrace to enjoy our freshly baked cakes and scones, particularly our Dorset Apple Cake, served warm with clotted cream. For lunch, our Handmade Pork Sausage Roll is a speciality enjoyed by many guests, with caramelized onion chutney and seasonal sides.
How often is the menu updated or changed, and what inspires these changes?
Our menu is often updated to include seasonal produce and adapt to requests for alternative dietary options. We update the menu for seasonal specials once per month, to showcase items like our Vegan Tomato Tart, or adapt to the weather (as best we can!).
What are the hours of operation for the Tea Terrace?
The Minterne Tea Terrace is open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm. Please keep an eye on our website and social media for certain days that the terrace and garden will be closed for private events.
Is there a dress code for dining at the Tea Terrace?
There is no dress code for dining at the Tea Terrace. Please dress for the weather, as we are next to the garden and offer outdoor covered seating only.
How can visitors to Minterne House book lunch or afternoon tea at the Tea Terrace?
