Ojo's Pizza launch 'A Slice of Support' to help the homeless

Ojo's Pizza, the dynamic mobile pizza duo based in Poole, is proud to introduce 'A Slice Of Support,' a heartwarming project born from a genuine passion for pizza and a commitment to sharing joy with local communities and good causes.

As Ojo's Pizza travels across Dorset, serving audiences at various events and locations, the owners, Ollie and Joe recognised an opportunity to make an impact. Alongside their regular bookings, Ojo's Pizza is calling on their customers and the local community to "pay pizza forward." Contributions, as little as £1 or a more generous donation, with an average cost of £6 per pizza, are gathered and saved. Once a number of donations have been collected, the team embarks on a mission to cook fresh pizzas and serve them at no cost at selected events, charities or good causes. The goal is to accumulate approximately 50 pizzas for each event.

The primary focus of 'A Slice Of Support' is to extend a helping hand to local charities and good causes. The project is currently rallying support for Roots to Routes in Poole, a commendable organisation dedicated to supporting the homeless and vulnerable community in Poole.

The project envisions serving not only the homeless and vulnerable but also dedicating afternoons to the emergency services, volunteer organisations, community events, fundraisers, good causes and even crisis support if needed.

Ojo's Pizza extends an invitation to local businesses to sponsor 'A Slice Of Support' by contributing themselves or by encouraging employees to donate. In return, the project offers recognition through logo displays on the website and social media shoutouts, your support would be very much appreciated.

The inaugural serving for 'A Slice Of Support' will take place at Roots to Routes in Poole. Ojo's Pizza will cook and serve fresh pizzas at no cost one afternoon, contributing to the impactful work of Roots to Routes.
