REVIEW: Lunch at Da Vinci's Italian Restaurant

Last week we headed for lunch at one of the longest-standing restaurants on Poole quay, Da Vinci’s.

Da Vinci’s is a family-run restaurant, specialising in authentic Italian dishes using fresh local ingredients. Whether you’re grabbing a bite to eat with the family in-between activities this half term or looking for a cosy date night, Da Vinci’s is the perfect spot.

Stepping into the beautiful restaurant is like being transported to Italy in an instant there are so many little touches that just make it so authentically Italian. Downstairs you’ll find a warm homely dining area which is dog friendly, upstairs is a gorgeous light and bright dining area with stunning views over Poole harbour. Not only that but Da Vinci’s has a huge outside eating area too, in the summer it really is the best spot on Poole quay to dine alfresco.

Da Vinci’s have an incredible lunch time offer running this February, when you order a main you get another half price! This offer is valid from 12pm-5pm Monday-Friday during February, so that is exactly what we put to the test.

The offer is valid on all pasta and pizza dishes so we wasted no time picking our favourites and getting stuck in. We ordered the Lungiune Frutti di Mare it was divine, filled with locally caught seafood in their delicious homemade tomato sauce. When it came to pizza we just couldn’t choose, there were so many great options in the end we settled on the Pizza Maialina. A sourdough base topped with Italian sausage, chicken, meatballs, and bacon. The toppings to pizza ratio was absolute perfection. No one likes a stingy pizza topping.

We had the best time, it’s such a lovely friendly atmosphere with staff regularly checking in to make sure everything is perfect with your meal. You can tell they take such pride in their food and love to see their customers enjoying it,  we left suitably full of pasta, pizza and a little white wine, in my opinion - the best combination.

Da Vinci’s also has a special offer for kids this February. They are offering ‘kids eat free’ with any adult main meal purchased. 12-5pm Mon-Fri throughout the month. Just in time for half term!

Both offers need to be mentioned at booking or upon arrival.
