Serving award-winning ales from Drop the Anchor Brewery and award-winning coffee from Mocha Turtle - double whammy!

Glorious food and an excellent array of cakes too. Lots of live music events too. Most importantly, as the sign on the door says, DOGS ARE WELCOME.

Best of all is that they are super dog friendly and if you bring your dog along, he/she/they will probably be given a piece of bacon!  You can pop in for coffee and delicious cakes or enjoy something more substantial. All the dishes are homemade and there are plenty of unbelievable vegan/veggie and gluten-free options. A glorious little venue with friendly staff, top quality nosh, and our beloved furry friends are welcome too!

Dog and walker friendly, so dog friendly in fact, it has a dog (statue) permanently fixed to the roof. Cosy interiors and friendly staff offer warmth and welcome for you and your pooch. The quirky stone seating out front has an air of Camelot about it. Perfect pitstop for those walking the Jurassic Coast or just out for a wander. 

They frequently have live music events and you will probably come across a few chickens too…

About: The Salt Pig is a lovely little place, it incorporates an Urban Farm Shop, cafe/restaurant, butchery, and fishmonger into one glorious little site in Wareham, and on top of that, they LOVE  dogs! Everything made and sold here comes from the surrounding area, bringing Purbeck to your plate and providing cracking food to the locals and visitors. As well as their now famous Deep Pan Veggie Quiche, they do a banging breakfast and are likely to send over an extra sausage for your dog, as opposed to you.

Well worth a visit for you and your furry friend and don't miss their Taste of Purbeck Sunday Roasts!
