KOKORO and Slice Guys arrive at The Dolphin

The Dolphin* in Poole is pleased to announce two new eateries at the centre. Popular Korean-Japanese takeaway and restaurant, KOKORO, opens on Friday, February 10 and The Shake & Slice Guys, a takeaway pizza kiosk, opened at the start of the month.

KOKORO is located in Falkland Square between Delfino Lounge and Skechers. The company strives to produce fine quality food with a variety of plates across its hot, cold and salad menu which includes authentic curry, sushi and noodle dishes.

The business operates largely as a takeaway and delivery eatery, with the Poole restaurant offering indoor seating for up to eight people and the potential for more dining space outside. The KOKORO Poole team includes 17 part-time and full-time team members and the venue is open seven days a week, 11.30am to 8pm.

A spokesperson from KOKORO Poole said: “We’re excited to launch our 66th site in Poole and bring exciting new flavours to the community. Poole high street is regenerating and it’s our pleasure to be welcomed into a thriving and buzzing town.

“We offer prompt delivery via Deliveroo as well as the option to collect or eat-in. We have recruited a great team of people from the local area who have been trained to produce not only excellent food, but provide outstanding customer service.”

In addition to KOKORO, The Dolphin recently welcomed The Shake & Slice Guys, a pizza and milkshake vendor. The kiosk offers a variety of pizza toppings and milkshake flavours and operates out of a modified food truck which is situated on the ground floor of Beales Department Store. The eatery is a striking addition to the centre and gives customers the option to dine in or takeaway. The Shake & Slice Guys is open 10.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Saturday, and 10.30am - 3.30pm on Sundays.

John Grinnell, centre manager at The Dolphin, commented: “The Poole community values having a diverse line-up of restaurants available to them right on their doorstep, and we’re thrilled to be able to welcome both a well-known franchise and a new independent business to The Dolphin’s offering.

“As a central hub for the people of Poole, The Dolphin gives the public an experience that has something for everyone, be it shopping, dining, exhibitions or activities, and we’re looking forward to growing even more throughout 2023.”

The Dolphin currently has more than 80 retailers with more newcomers due to arrive in the coming months.
