The renowned doughnut chain will welcome customers, starting Thursday 23rd May, at its new location in the former Café La Strada unit on Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth town centre.
The store opens at 9am, the first customer will win a year’s supply of doughnuts – this is 144 altogether - or 12 doughnuts per month. The first dozen customers in the Krispy Kreme queue will receive exclusive brand merchandise. Lastly, a discount on their classic, original glazed doughnut dozen will apply to all visitors at £10.
Established in 1937 in North Carolina, USA, Krispy Kreme doughnuts have been available in Dorset only through small kiosks in supermarkets until now. Previously, the nearest standalone store was in Southampton, with a larger kiosk in an Exeter shopping centre.
Since entering the UK market in 2003, Krispy Kreme has expanded to over 130 shops across the UK and Ireland, known for making their iconic doughnuts fresh daily. This opening in Bournemouth town centre fills a unit having been vacant for years with a new branch of a global bakery, selling limited-edition doughnuts as well as well-loved treats.
