We all know that once your babies become busy Toddlers, going out for a quick drink or relaxing pub meal isn't quite what it used to be. About: Although The Alice Lisle is 15 miles from central Poole, it is well worth the 25 to 30 minute drive in to the heart of the New Forest. There's plentiful parking in the pub's car park and the enclosed play area will certainly keep the kids entertained with its slides, tyres, climbing frames and bridges. New Vic Bar and Restaurant

About: New Vic Bar and Restaurant is home to a two-storey indoor soft play area called Jolly Ollie's Indoor Adventure Playground for 2 to 10 years of age. Located in Weymouth and a good 35 to 40 minute drive from Poole, it's much further afield than we would normally list, but this really is a great option for when the weather is bad and you just have to get indoors. There are also staff surpervising all play time so you really can relax. There's a large selection of bar snacks and full menu, good children's menu, plus a vast drinks menu and seating for up to 120.
