The Goods Yard Re-Opens Today

The Goods Yard Re-Opens Today

The beloved Poole pub in the heart of Broadstone re-opens today.

Once the Railway Hotel built in 1898, where the former railway track ran through Broadstone, The Goods Yard has finally re-opened under new management. The Fired Up Collective takeover has been greatly received amongst the locals after the pub sadly closed a year ago. You’ll be pleased to read that the new owners are highly experienced when it comes to running pubs and restaurants. The Old Thatch in Wimborne and The Greyhound Inn at Corfe Castle are just some of the popular venues currently under their management.

We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek before the doors officially open today and we weren’t disappointed. It’s cosy, full of character and quirkiness, and still holds its traditional aesthetic, and boasts a fantastic selection of local ales, beers and ciders as well as a classic pub menu.

Some fresh paint, new decorative items, and new furniture throughout, all add to the feel like it has woken up again. We love that the outside area has also not been overlooked. Guests are treated to a lovely seating area with a selection of plants and pretty lighting.

When you arrive, you can either stop for a drink or you can take a seat at a table and order your food. You’ll find two seating areas so there’s plenty of tables and chairs available to enjoy a hearty pub meal, perhaps after a long walk on the historic Castleman Trailway.

For now, they plan to open Tuesday to Sunday. Lunch will be served 12pm-3pm, a sandwich service will be available 3pm-5pm and dinner is available 5pm-10pm.

The menu looks incredible. Roast dinners, A La Carte, dessert and a kid's menu. The menu can be found on their website. They told us that they will be donating 50p from every Junction Burger to the Junction Sports and Leisure Centre across the road which is part of the YMCA in Bournemouth.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Andy and his team at The All Fired Up Collective – we are sure that The Goods Yard is going to be incredibly popular with those in and around Poole, Dorset.
