Guildhall Tavern

What makes The Guildhall Tavern special? TGt spoke to the restaurant patron to find out!

"Situated in historic old Town, Poole, the Guildhall Tavern has been established over twenty years and has an excellent reputation for serving high quality cuisine in a relaxed spacious dining room for up to 50 guests"

At The Guildhall Tavern, you can enjoy the best in seafood and grill dishes, made with locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Think live lobsters and crabs delivered daily from a local fisherman, or top-quality meats from a nearby farm. Must-try dishes include their famous twice-baked cheese soufflé, fresh scallops, and crab for starters, followed by mains like turbot, mixed seafood grill, roasted cod supreme, lobster, and succulent steaks. Whether you’re a seafood lover or prefer a perfectly cooked steak, there’s something on the menu for everyone.

Meet the chef: Sam Coltman

Executive Head Chef Sam Coltman, co-owner of The Guildhall Tavern, is celebrated for his award-winning cuisine. Recently inspired by a visit from William Sitwell, a MasterChef judge and Daily Telegraph restaurant critic, Sam is even considering applying for “MasterChef: The Professionals.” His passion and talent shine through in every dish.

Upcoming events: “A Taste of Italy” and “A Taste of Spain”

Both events promise a delicious journey through international flavours, right in the heart of Poole.
