Celebrate the magic of Christmas at The Dolphin in Poole

The Dolphin in Poole is pulling out all the stops this festive season.
They are offering a range of festive events and activities to get everyone into the Christmas spirit!
Here’s what’s in store:

Countdown to christmas with santa’s cuckoo clock

Families can kick off the Christmas countdown with Santa’s Bavarian Cuckoo Clock! Kids will be delighted by games, crafts, and the chance to meet Santa himself, hosted by the lively Cuckoo Clock elves. 

This free event begins on Saturday, November 30, and will be open from 11am to 4pm on select days in December. Spaces fill quickly, so be sure to arrive early.

Christmas choirs

Nothing says Christmas like the sound of festive music! Local choirs will perform every Thursday and Saturday at 1pm. and 2pm throughout December. Look out for a special performance by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra on Tuesday, December 17.

Kingland christmas market

The Dolphin is introducing its first-ever Christmas market at Kingland Crescent. Starting Wednesday, November 13, visitors can browse unique, locally crafted gifts and delicious treats. 

Open daily from 10am to 4pm through December 23, this market offers a wonderful way to support small businesses and pick up one-of-a-kind christmas finds

Community christmas events at GATHER

GATHER, The Dolphin’s community event space, will host a range of festive workshops and activities:

• Wreath making: Get creative with a wreath-making workshop with Lewis Manning Hospice Charity on December 3.

• Student pop-up shop: Admire and shop for art pieces created by Bournemouth and Poole College students from December 9 to 12.

• Print fair: Discover artwork by local artists at Poole Printmaker’s Christmas Print Fair from December 14 to 22.

• Gift wrapping: For those last-minute shoppers, a gift-wrapping station with Diverse Abilities will be available on December 23 and 24.

Giving back to local charities

The Dolphin is committed to spreading kindness by supporting local charities, including Poole Waste Not Want Not, Forest Holme Hospice, and a Christmas toy appeal in partnership with Nation Radio.
