Review: Di Venti Boutique

Di Venti Boutique is a creative space situated in Poole High Street with an aim of bringing local creatives and makers together. Not only do they sell a selection of locals handmade products they also host painting sessions and crafting workshops. We recently went down to check it out and take part in a family painting session..

I love giving my children the opportunity to get creative, but like most I am not always keen on the mess afterwards. It's hard to really let them loose when you're worrying about paint splats up the wall. Di Venti Boutique is the perfect setting to allow the kids (and yourself) free rein. They even have a hand print wall which my girls couldn't wait to add to at the end of our session!

Painting sessions at Di Venti Boutique are free, you can book in advanced online although walk ins are welcome if there is a free table. You just need to pay for what ever you decide to paint. With items starting from just £2 its a really inexpensive activity to enjoy with the kids or it would be a great date night idea if you're looking for something a little different.

They have a vast selection of items to paint from vases to dominos, a lions head or cute little trinket plates! The items are always changing so if there is something specific you have in mind it's worth requesting that item ahead of time. Painting is so relaxing, I wouldn't really class myself as artistic but there is something I find so therapeutic about painting.

The girls opted for a rose, a rainbow jar, a shell pot and my youngest is clearly in the Halloween spirit as she went for a pumpkin, like I said so much to choose from! We loved the relaxed atmosphere of Di Venti Boutique there was no time limits or restrictions on colours we could hep ourselves, mix colours up and spend as long as we needed on our master pieces. The items do take a little bit of time to dry so you can either pop into town for a couple hours or go back and collect another day.

It's a great location in the middle of the high street so definitely worth popping by next time you're in town.

Di Venti Boutique also run candle making workshops for adults which sound fantastic, the hands on workshop guides you through the secrets of creating high quality pillar candles choosing your own colours, fragrance and moulds and the look so beautiful.

Owners, Hannah and Walter have bought something unique to Poole and it's so lovely to see people following their dreams whilst supporting other local business and creatives. Thanks for having us guys!
