Galeón Andalucía has arrived at Poole!
A replica of a 17th-century Spanish galleon, the Galeón Andalucía, is docked at Poole Quay. Visitors can explore its full-scale, historic decks.
The Galeón Andalucía will be available for tours at Poole Quay from Wednesday 31st July -Sunday 4th August, with daily visiting hours from 10 am - 8 pm.
This ship functions as a floating museum, replicating the vessels used by Spain during the 16th and 17th centuries for maritime exploration and trade across the oceans, including routes between Spain, the Americas, and the Philippines, as part of the famed Indies fleets. With more than six decks to explore, visitors can experience the ship’s history and the era it represents. Constructed by the Nao Victoria Foundation at Spain's Punta Umbria shipyard, the tall ship has sailed over 70,000 nautical miles around the globe.
