Take the bus to Planet Wimborne’s Green Festival this October

Morebus has partnered with Planet Wimborne to provide sustainable travel options for local residents and visitors attending this year’s Green Festival.

As the official travel partner, Morebus encourages festival-goers to use their bus services to reach the range of events taking place in and around Wimborne from Saturday, October 12, to Saturday, October 19.

The Wimborne Green Festival, an annual event, will feature a variety of environmentally focused activities, including the Minster Fair on the first Saturday, as well as craft workshops and educational talks throughout the week.

“As the region’s primary bus operator, we are committed to helping reduce congestion and improve air quality here,” said Morebus general manager, Richard Wade. “So we are delighted to be the Green Festival’s official travel partner. 

“Our team will be in Wimborne Square on 12 October to support the event, and we’ll be standing by to offer travel advice to those wishing to leave their cars at home and travel by bus instead. 

“Just one fully-loaded double decker bus has the potential to take up to 75 cars off our roads, so we are pleased to be showing our support for Planet Wimborne and this exciting event. 

“The festival itself is free to attend, and Morebus is offering 10 percent off an AB or ABC dayrider bus ticket for single use during the week. Anyone wishing to take advantage of this offer can do so by simply entering the code PLANET2024 when using our app.
