The launch of Bournemouth and Poole's free Christmas light trails

Bournemouth’s popular Christmas Tree Wonderland opens Friday 18 November with its iconic 60-foot walk through Christmas tree as well as refreshed trees including the Kyiv Christmas Tree and the vibrant, sparkling Lucerne Tree in recognition of Bournemouth’s twinning with this Swiss town.

Also making a welcome return this year is the Christmas market, Alpine Bar and Skate ice-rink with further festivities planned.

Over in Poole, the brand new Poole Christmas Maritime Light Festival launches on Saturday 19 November and is on for six weeks.

Celebrating Poole’s rich nautical heritage as a town of merchants and mariners, this light trail features a number of sparkling maritime-themed light installations including an impressive 120-metre under-the-sea light curtain, a 5-metre tall ship and a giant anchor.

With festive food and drinks offerings, a small funfair, Christmas Choirs and more, we’re hoping this new Christmas offering will bring people outside, enjoying all the free entertainment on offer.
