Dorset housebuilder sponsors Wimborne school’s Summer Fair

Hayeswood First School in Wimborne recently hosted a Summer Fair to commemorate its 50th anniversary.

Wyatt Homes, which has its head office in Poole and has new homes developments across Dorset, Somerset and Hampshire, including two in Wimborne was proud to sponsor the event along with other local donors.

With over 300 past and present students and families in attendance, the Summer Fair was a resounding success. Attendees enjoyed a range of activities, including a bouncy castle, circus performances and workshops, carnival games with prizes and a BBQ.

The Summer Fair holds a special place in the school's calendar, bringing together the community in a spirit of unity and celebration. This year’s event not only commemorated five decades of education but also served as a vital fundraising event for the school’s various programs and initiatives.

Shaun Pettitt, Managing Director at Wyatt Homes, said, "We are delighted to extend our support to Hayeswood First School's Summer Fair."
“As a local housebuilder, it brings us immense joy to contribute to celebrating the school's 50th anniversary. We take pride in witnessing the community flourish through initiatives like this."

Jeanette L, Chairperson at Hayeswood School Association, said, "The event was a huge success and we would all love to thank Wyatt Homes for providing this sponsorship."
“Support like this really enables the school to maximise their fundraising and invest the money directly into the children and their school experience.”

Mrs Staddon, Headteacher at Hayeswood First School said, “A year's worth of planning and hard work by the Hayeswood School Association culminated in a fantastic Summer Fair."

“BBQ aromas permeated the grounds and really added to the whole experience, courtesy of sponsorship from Wyatt Homes. The Summer Fair is a significant event in the school calendar and funds from this will enable the school to purchase more books for our new phonics scheme and get children reading.”
