Introduction to the Hilton Bournemouth
With my youngest daughter starting school in September, I'm keen to pack in as many memorable activities as possible.
We took the girls (ages 6 and 3) to see Frozen at the Theatre in London over Christmas and they loved it so when we saw that The Hilton in Bournemouth was putting on a Frozen themed Afternoon Tea we didn't hesitate to book tickets.
Overview of the Frozen Afternoon Tea Experience
The parking at The Hilton was a breeze and there was plentiful space in their secure car park so the girls didn't have to walk far in their Elsa and Ana outfits.
We were then warmly greeted by the reception team who showed us upstairs into the function room, which had become a winter wonderland and transported us to the enchanting world of Arendelle for the afternoon!
Frozen absolutely came alive through the Hilton's carefully curated menu and Minky Moos's immersive Frozen experience.
What to Expect During the Frozen Afternoon Tea
The experience began with the Afternoon Tea itself, which I thought was a great way around as the kids could release their sugar rush afterward with the dancing and games with Elsa and Ana.
The tables were adorned with snowflake-inspired linens, and the air was filled with the soothing sounds of the film's iconic soundtrack. The attention to detail was truly remarkable, and it's evident that the hotel had gone to great lengths to ensure that every aspect of the Frozen Afternoon Tea aligned with the beloved Disney hit.
Menu Highlights of the Frozen Afternoon Tea
The Frozen Afternoon Tea menu is a delightful symphony of sweet and savory delights, each item carefully crafted to capture the essence of the Frozen universe. With delicate finger sandwiches, "Elsa's Ice Palace" scones, served with clotted cream and a selection of preserves, and whimsical pastries and sweet treats, including the "Sven's Frozen Treat" and "Anna's Snowflake Delight."
Fun Activities for Kids During the Frozen Afternoon Tea
While the Frozen Afternoon Tea is a delightful experience, the Hilton Bournemouth has taken it one step further by incorporating a range of engaging activities for children.
Elsa and Ana came round and spoke to each of the children individually during the Afternoon Tea and then hosted them for games, dancing, singing, and photos. There was even artificial snow and bubbles!
Very often with these sorts of events, the characters only stick around for 10 minutes but Elsa and Ana were there for the full 2 hours which gave the kids an immersive experience.
Price
While a Family Ticket for 4 costs £90 (or adults £30, children £18), it offers great value for money as food and drink are included and the memories made are priceless.
Conclusion and Final Thoughts on the Frozen Afternoon Tea Experience at the Hilton Bournemouth
