Hamworthy's Paddling Pool is reopening This Summer

After joint efforts from the Friends of Hamworthy Park (FoHP) team and the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole (BCP) Council, Hamworthy's beloved paddling pool is set to reopen this summer.

The Hamworthy paddling pool has been in the works for over the past six months has paved the way for this cherished facility to be revived. Preserving community assets and actioning collaborative solutions is shown to be a priority by the FoHP team and the BCP Council.

Scheduled to open on or around Friday 24th May 2024, the paddling pool's resurrection marks a significant milestone for locals and visitors of Hamworthy.

To ensure the longevity of this pool, the FoHP is rallying community support. Individuals are encouraged to sign up as Friends of Hamworthy Park to aid in securing the paddling pool for future seasons. Membership is free, with an option to subscribe to a monthly donation plan. The aim of this is to make a collective difference in maintaining the pool and guaranteeing its availability long-term. Signing up as a FoHP supports the immediate cause and also enhances the likelihood of securing future funding through various grant options. The FoHP team is dedicated to transparent and accountable management of all contributions, ensuring that funds are responsibly allocated to enhance the Hamworthy seafront experience.
