Christchurch Remembrance Service
2025 Information TBC
About: The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance in Christchurch 2024 will be held in the Christchurch Priory. The Band of the Royal British Legion Christchurch will be playling, alongside the Ringwood Pipe Band.
This service will begin on Monday 4th November at 19:30 in the church. Tickets must be purchased for this event, starting from £10-£12.

Swanage Remembrance Parade

About:
- 13:45/14:00: The Remembrance parade will begin from Shore Road at 13:45 – Meeting on Shore Road at 1.45pm and will march from The Mowlem at 14:00 toward St Mary’s Church.
- 14:30: A church service will begin at St Mary’s Churh.
- 16:00: Wreath-laying will take place after the service at the war memorial.
- 17:00: Swanage RBL – Refreshments and more at the Legion from 17:00 as part of the Legion’s Poppython fundraiser

Weymouth Remembrance Service

About: The Remembrance service commences at 10.55 am, conducted by the Mayor’s Chaplain. First there will be wreath laying led by the Mayor of Weymouth. Following the service, the Parade along the Esplanade to the US Memorial will take place for a short wreath laying service.

Lyme Regis Remembrance Day Parade

About: Join Lyme Regis Town Council for a number of Remembrance celebrations.
- November 9th - A small service at 10am, starting from HMS Formidable grave, moving onto the Polish War Memorial.
- November 10th - Begin marching from St Michael's Parish Church at 9:45am, with a service led by Revd Canon Sarah Godfrey at 10:00-10:45. Following this, march to the town square for a 2 minute silence.
- November 11th - A small service at the War Memorial in Georges Square at 10:45am, leading up to a 2 minute silence at 11am.

Blandford Remembrance Service

About: There are various Remembrance Services taking place in Blandford in 2024.
- Saturday 26th Oct at 11:00 - The Mayor and the Blandford & District Branch of the Royal British Legion will lead a procession from Legion House down Church Lane to the Parish Church to begin and launch the Dorset’s Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, and to open the Field of Remembrance located in the churchyard.
- Sunday 3rd Nov at 11:00 - The Commonwealth War Graves Memorial Service at the Blandford Cemetery will be led by the Blandford & District Branch of the Royal British Legion. Meet at the Cross of Sacrifice at least 10 minutes prior to commencement
- Friday 8th Nov at 10:30 - Blandford schools will be laying crosses in the churchyards of St Peter and St Paul, followed by a two minute silence.
- Sunday 10th November 2024 at 11:00 - Join the Mayor, the Blandford & District Branch of the RBL, the Parish Church Reverend and a piper for a two minute silence in the Market Place for Armistice Day.
- Monday 11th Nov at 14:30 - There will be a Remembrance Sunday Wreath Laying service, followed by a Parade and a Church Service with music by The Blandford Stour Valley Band.

Wimborne Remembrance Service
2025 Information TBC
About: The Remembrance Day Service will begin with a parade from Wimborne Royal British Legion and with a service at Wimborne Minster Church at 2:30pm.
The parade will then be re-formed and will march back to the Royal British Legion, passing the saluting dias where the salute will be taken.

Ringwood Remembrance Service
2025 Information TBC
About: There are multiple Remembrance events taking place in Ringwood 2024.
- Saturday 2nd November 2024 with a service at the Commonwealth War Graves in Ringwood Cemetery at 10:45am. Poppy crosses will be laid on the graves of service personnel whose last resting place is Ringwood.
- Sunday 10th November 2024, Remembrance Sunday, various services will place around the town after which a parade will gather in Market Place at 1130am. The procession will walk to the War Memorial Garden where a short service will take place, followed by the formal Act of Remembrance at 12 noon. There will then be a formal wreath-laying ceremony and a procession back to Market Place.
- Monday 11th November 2024, a service will take place at the War Memorial Garden at 10:45am when a National 2 Minute Silence will be observed at 11am. In accordance with local tradition, the start and end of the silence will be marked by the firing of a maroon generating a loud bang heard around the town.
