Local Plan – Issues and Options Consultation

Our new Local Plan for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole sets out a strategy for how much, where and what type of development will take place across the BCP area up to 2038. Before we prepare a draft of our new Local Plan, we want to hear from people in our Issues and Options Consultation.

A great way to do this is via our interactive maps. You can view and drop pins to add comments directly onto the eight maps. Tell us what you think about the proposed sites and other issues. Click below to get pinning.

Young people vote for their Youth Parliament members

The UK Youth Parliament provides opportunities for 11-18 year olds to use their elected voice to bring about social change through meaningful representation and campaigning.  All 11-18 year olds in the BCP area can now vote for their new Members of the Youth Parliament. Voting closes on the 28th February. You need a voting code to take part. We hope all 11–18 year olds will get the opportunity to vote if they are in a local BCP school or college,  but if not please email Rebecca.mcdade@bcpcouncil.gov.uk with your name, post code, date of birth and what school you attend (or if you are home educated).   All voting code requests must be received by midday on Thursday 24th February.

It is estimated that drivers who fall asleep at the wheel account for around one fifth of incidents on major roads. If you employ people to drive for your company, visit the HSE website for more information about driving and riding safely for work.
