Breakfast on the Beach
Start your day the right way with breakfast down by the beach -the only way to brunch in style when in Poole! We love Lazy Jacks Café for breakfast or brunch as it is situated just off the main Sandbanks car park nestled in a quiet and picturesque spot and their breakfast menu includes smashed avocado on toast, ‘a lazy breakfast’ (full-english with high quality, local produce) and vegan options and don’t miss the new smoothie menu! A perfect way to start a day of sightseeing!

Picnic on Studland
Next up, head down the road a little and get the chain ferry across to Studland. The very short journey across is well worth it for the quieter beaches and stunning scenery.
Make sure to pack a picnic before you go, to enjoy whilst you take in the crystal clear waters and silky soft sand - honestly, Poole has some of the best beaches in the country, you will not be disappointed. Opt for the longer, more scenic route back, and take in the rolling countryside of Wareham - keep your eye out for the village of Corfe Castle, where the castle ruins stand majestic on the hilltop.
Why not grab a picnic hamper from Nicholas James Deli or a Drgnfly to Go from Poole’s exquisite Pan Asian Restaurant Drgnfly?

Pizza as the Sun Sets
Looking for a fun activity after a day spent on the beach? A boat cruise as the sun sets is a must, and what could make it even better? If you said pizza, you would be correct - the Sunset Cruise from Dorset Belle includes the option to order fresh pizza from the fantastic local restaurant Pizzeria Valona.
Your pizza will be delivered to the boat itself just prior to departure, so that you can enjoy it on board as you leisurely sail around the harbour, taking in the sights of Poole’s islands and spot of celeb-spotting as you reach Sandbanks.

The Quay
To round off a pretty spectacular day, why not head to one of the many friendly local bars and pubs around Poole Quay for a night cap? You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to somewhere to enjoy a drink but a personal favourite has to be the The Crown, set just back from the busy waterfront in the Old Town.
They offer a great selection of local real ales and have live music on the weekend.
Or, if you’re a Gin lover, you must visit the Tin of Sardines which has a huge selection of 200 Gins and 50 mixers and a lovely outdoor terrace just off the Quay so you can enjoy views and the atmosphere of the Quay and Old Town. They also serve delicious charcuterie boards if you’re feeling a bit peckish!
