Fireworks in Poole

Thursday Evening - Fireworks

Start your trip off with a bang, quite literally, with fireworks on the Quay every Thursday night over summer (21st July to 25th August 2022).

There’s plenty of live entertainment and a great atmosphere down by the harbour and plenty of places to grab a bite to eat, close to the action, if you are driving straight from work.

Location: Poole Quay, Poole, BH15 1BW

Brownsea Island

Brownsea Island

Friday - Brownsea Island

If you are looking for a day trip in the area, look no further than Brownsea Island, just a short boat ride from Poole Quay and an excellent place to immerse yourself into nature and explore this beautiful island, complete with native red squirrels.

You can get food from the café or pack a picnic to bring along with you. The island is pretty big, so make sure you leave enough time to get all the way round - it’s worth the steps! Keep an eye out for the peacocks too, they are so majestic.

Breakfast in Poole

Saturday Morning - Breakfast on the Beach

The ultimate treat and a fantastic way to start the day when in Poole, grab breakfast to go from Nicholas James Deli or Patisserie Mark Bennett’s, and tuck in with your toes in the sand.

Both are located in Ashley Cross which has several shops around the local area, but the Lilliput branch of Mark Bennett’s is ideal for easy access to Sandbanks, where the white sands and crystal clear water will have you feeling like you are somewhere much further afield.

Feeling adventurous? Go for an open water swim or SUP before you eat, to really kick start your day!
