Website Email 01305 261849Dorset-based Robbie McIntosh is known as ‘the guitarist’s guitarist’ and has legendary status among his fellow musicians.
As a long-term member of The Pretenders, he played on many of their UK hits and also appeared at the legendary Live Aid Concert in 1985. Since then, he has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious musicians, such as Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Tom Jones, John Mayer, and Norah Jones and he continues to tour and record today with many of the most famous names in music.
Robbie is also a talented multi-instrumentalist, and a highly acclaimed singer-songwriter in his own right.
We are privileged to welcome him to the Shire Hall, where he will be sharing the stage with popular local singer, Lucy Watkins, who has also featured on Robbie’s albums as well as those by Show of Hands and Simon Swarbrick.
Lucy’s atmospheric, bluesy renditions of jazz standards, folk songs and a smattering of French Chanson never fail to captivate an audience.
Robbie & Lucy will also be joined during the evening by musician, Ken Watkins, who has been well-known in the area for many years. Ken is a singer who always connects with an audience, performing songs with sensitivity, passion and an endearing gentle humour.
