The FREE open week at BH Live Active Queen’s Park will be held from Monday 8 -15 July 2024 inclusive. Visitors will receive the opportunity to tour the facilities and chat with the team about how being more active could benefit them.
A timetable of classes and activities will be on offer, including a free trial of a brand-new Les MillsTM class coming soon to Queen’s Park - Functional Strength - designed to increase strength, speed, and stamina.
Visitors are also invited to learn more about BH Live Active membership concessions, discounted activities, and supported exercise schemes at the centre. Giveaways, competitions, and an exclusive membership offer* will also be available throughout the open week.
Queen’s Park reopened its doors to visitors in July 2023 following a period of post-pandemic closure. This enabled its operator BH Live to carry out a series of improvements to the health and fitness facilities. The centre had a new Technogym Group Cycling experience installed, had its reception area remodelled, had refreshed fitness studios with new equipment, a dedicated wellbeing area, plus an al fresco seating area for outdoor eating, drinking and socialising.
Situated close to Queen’s Park Golf Course near Charminster, the centre is open to all seven days a week with both pay-as-you-go and membership options available. A packed timetable of classes and activities is available at the centre including Les Mills BodyPump TM, Sprint, RPM and BodyAttack. Wellness classes include yoga, Pilates, and Les Mills BodyBalanceTM. There is also a well-equipped split-level gym on-site, with a full range of cardiovascular, resistance and functional fitness equipment and zones.
As well as access to Queen’s Park, BH Live Active memberships are multisite so they also include access to gyms, swimming pools, spa facilities and exercise classes at Littledown, Pelhams, Stokewood, Sir David English Sports Centre and BH Live Active, Corfe Mullen (facilities vary at each centre).

“The team at BH Live Active, Queen’s Park is so friendly. They never hesitate to help if I want advice on using a piece of equipment or correcting my technique. This type of care is so important when you’re beginning your fitness journey. It’s one of the best gyms I’ve ever visited – it’s become my second home.”
In recent months, the centre has been awarded Green Mark accreditation for the team’s commitment to reducing energy wastage and improving sustainability.
BH Live Active, Queen’s Park is operated by BH Live, a registered charity and social enterprise. As such, any surplus generated by BH Live is reinvested back into public leisure and cultural facilities for the benefit of the community.
Sam Roberts, General Manager at BH Live Active Queen’s Park, shared:
“It’s fantastic to have welcomed so many people to the centre since we reopened 12 months ago. The centre is so vibrant and there is always so much going on. Customers tell us they think the facilities are outstanding and we have to agree! Our team is incredibly passionate too, helping customers become the best version of themselves by encouraging them to stay active.
