Originally a clay pit in the 17th century, it was abandoned in the 19th century and naturally filled with rainwater.
The result? A mesmerising pool that shifts between shades of blue and green, thanks to suspended clay particles that refract light.
The 3.1km circular walk around the pool takes around 50 minutes and is perfect for a peaceful escape into nature.
Whether you’re strolling through the 25-acre woodland, spotting local wildlife like woodpeckers and dragonflies, or crossing the 50-metre rope bridge, there’s something enchanting about this place.
Families will love the hidden fairy doors dotted along the trails, adding a magical touch for little explorers.
The Blue Pool is open year-round, with an on-site tearoom offering delicious locally sourced treats, including classic cream teas.
Free parking is available, and while dogs are welcome, they must be kept on a lead to protect the local wildlife.
