Luxury hair salon opens in Lilliput on November 11th

The highly regarded Francesco Hair Group, with a rich history dating back to 1968, is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest location in Sandbanks Road, Lilliput on Saturday, November 11th.

The Group's Lilliput salon is the 38th addition to its impressive portfolio across the UK and will be expertly managed by Mia Dellicompagni, the Managing Director of Francesco Salons. Gearing up to spearhead her expert team into a brand spanking new salon. Their mission is to continue offering top-notch customer service, unforgettable experiences, and killer hairdos, of course.?

With Mia at the helm, Lilliput's customers are in for a treat. No stranger to the hair game, boasting numerous accolades such as being a finalist for both Hairdressing and Director in the British Hairdressing Awards. Not to mention, she's been a part of various photoshoots and shows, including taking part in the Wella TrendVision collective show in 2023.?

The Francesco Group is known for its commitment to nurturing talent in the industry. Their academies, with around 250 apprentices, play a pivotal role in training aspiring young hairdressers. Poole is the centre in the South West, for future professionals seeking to complete their Hair Professional qualifications. This feeds a strong influx of quality employees to approximately 70 hair salons throughout Dorset and Hampshire.

They have recently undergone a large-scale rebrand to further put their customers at the centre of everything they do and Lilliput will be the first, fully branded salon bearing the new name.

The Francesco Hair Group's story originates in Italy where Francesco, or Frank, as he is affectionately known, first discovered his passion for fashion and hairdressing at the age of 15, inspired by the legendary Vidal Sassoon.

After returning to Italy, Frank learned from his cousin Mario, a master hairdresser, about face shape, haircut personalisation, and client care. Frank then bought a Morris Minor van and travelled around Stafford to dress clients' hair until he opened his own salon in 1968.

He took on apprentices, giving them the exciting learning experience he never had. Working with his younger brother, Peter, Frank built a network of salons with different names until they began to franchise, leading to the Group's growth.

In the early 2000s, Frank stepped back from the business, passing it onto his son, Ben, who became the Managing Director. Mia and Anya, Ben's sister and cousin, joined the Board later.

The group expanded its salon network, invested in new training academies, and acquired the South West Salon Group, Scissors, which rebranded to Francesco Group, and now in 2023 Francesco Hair Salon.

The opening of the Francesco Hair Salon in Lilliput marks another remarkable chapter in the group's storied history.
