Portland House, located on Belle Vue Road in Bincleaves, Weymouth, will welcome visitors from September 13 to 15, between 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM.
The National Trust has described Portland House as a "hidden gem on the Dorset coastline."
It says: "Lounging elegantly at the top of a slope overlooking the harbor at Portland, this extraordinary house, surrounded by a huge garden and terraces invokes the sophistication and luxury of old-school Hollywood, with its palm-fringed drive, pacific-blue Crittal windows and the house itself dazzlingly white against the blue of the sea beyond."
In addition to Portland House, the National Trust will open two other properties in West Dorset during Heritage Open Week, offering free entry to all visitors.
Max Gate, the former home of renowned author Thomas Hardy, in Dorchester, will be open on September 7 and 8, from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. T
The Hardy Monument, located near Portesham, will also be accessible on the same dates and times.
During the open days, Max Gate and Portland House visitors can enjoy refreshments from on-site food and beverage units.
Hardy Monument and Portland House will only accept cash for purchases, including collectible National Trust pin badges and passport stamps.
No pre-booking is required for any of the open days, providing a unique opportunity to explore these historic properties free of charge.
