REVIEW: The Pollensa Connection

Summer is here and what better way to relax, whether on holiday or having a staycation, than to read a blockbuster of a crime thriller. 

The author of the novel is a retired police officer with extensive firearms experience and his knowledge of weapons is put to good use in this enthralling read. He has also spent many months in Mallorca and it is apparent how well he knows the island.

The book is the second in the series of the crime fighting team 3R. I had not read the first one but there was no problem starting off with the second in the series (though I am so hooked I shall definitely be purchasing the first one!).

The novel grips you immediately with its tale of a kidnapping that leads us to a terrific story of international corporate crime, moving from locations in Mallorca to London and Nova Scotia in Canada. An added bonus for me (but not neccessary if you don`t know the locations) was to transport myself to places and bars/restaurants I know and love so much in Pollensa itself.

This is a fast paced, gripping, action packed thriller with many unexpected twists and cliff-hangers leaving the reader anxious and excited to read on to learn what happens next. The Formentor scooter/bike ride chapter is so thrilling but I will say no more - no spoilers here!

I would highly recommend this book and I think it would make a terrific TV series.
