Tell us a little bit about yourself…

My name is Sarah Fudge, I live in Hamworthy and have done for over 40 years and have been in the property industry for nearly 27 years now, eek that makes me feel old, I work alongside my husband Shaun in our family owned agency based in Upton, Poole, we have two daughters, have a mad passion for motorsport (which we both compete in (against each other!) for Lewis Dean Motorsport ), we both run the local Army Cadet Detachment in the evenings and have a doppy German Shepherd dog and a very old cat!.

How can your business help those who are looking to sell or let their property?

Our business offers a friendly non pushy approach to all our clients that are looking to sell, let, buy or rent in the area, if you are just looking for advice or are ready to take the plunge we are here for you every step of the way.

What sets your business apart from any other agent in Poole?

Unlike other agents, we are not stuffy / suited and booted, we just give clear honest help and guidance and we are really quite human in the sense that we become friends with most of our clients we do business with as moving home takes a lot of time / patience and understanding and we have lots of that!

Is there one common reason why people decide to rent or buy a property in Poole in your experience?

Most people choose to live here as Poole is “Beautiful Place”, you only have to take a walk along Poole Quay to see that, even though the skyline is always changing with new developments nothing can spoil the outlook over the Harbour, with the Countryside also within a 5 minute drive in the other direction there is an area for everyone’s taste.

Why should individuals choose to work with you?

We offer what most others don’t and that is “our time”, we have time for our customers to simply chat, this last year has proved that people like to “chat” and take time to talk about anything other than Covid / the weather. Our customers are not a transaction or a sales target, customers are humans with thoughts and emotions and we get that moving home is one of the biggest emotional / stressful events in someone’s life and to have an agent who can help with the little details it all helps things run smoothly,

What 3 things keep you motivated to achieve the best?

Personally I love leaning, with the rental side of the business legislation is ever changing and I like keeping on top of this, I know clients who have been let down badly by their own agents by not keeping up with the legal side of things, so I am motivated always to protect my landlords and tenants.

I l get a sense of satisfaction when handing over keys to a new owner or tenant knowing that they are starting a new chapter in their life and I have been instrumental in getting them to that point.

Lastly, I like my sleep, to go to bed at night knowing I have done my best for all is a great sense of achievement.

What is the most enjoyable part of your job?

I love creating the bespoke property details for each property including the video and virtual tours, gone are the days of taking a photo on your instamatic camera and waiting for the photos to be developed in Boots the chemist so they could then be stuck on a set of paper property details with double sided tape!

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

There are too many to list, bringing home my two month too early premature baby for the first time probably stands out the most

What have been your key challenges and how have you overcome them?

Juggling young children and running a business have been tough but these challenges were overtime by having fantastic systems and processes in place.
