REVIEW: Volvo Cars Poole Service
Anyone with a car lease will know that it's super important to have your annual service otherwise there will be a hefty fine at the end of the term, plus you also want to make sure you're getting the best performance out of your vehicle.
This never used to be an issue for me, but it was something I had dreaded following the most awful service from Marshall's BMW with our old Mini Countryman. It always felt a bit of a con that you are sold the car in a luxurious dealership only for their service centre to be separate - in a really depressing industrial estate in a small run-down building.
To add to that, I was turned away as they had double booked, then when the service finally went ahead there was no waiting area; that coupled with lockdown restrictions meant I had to wander around Wallisdown in the rain for 3 hours with my newborn.
Rant over, but this is the reason I wanted to share my experience with you; in case I wasn't alone in dreading the annual car service and to reassure you that it can be a pleasant experience!
Volvo Cars Poole right from our initial enquiry to delivery of the vehicle, and now with maintenance has been second to none and I've had a really great experience.
You no longer need to remember or check the mileage on the car to book your review with Volvo Cars Poole - everything is automated; the car told me it was service time and with that, I received an email and call from a super friendly member of staff. It was a super busy time for me, and they were patient and flexible with dates.
Upon arriving for my service, I was greeted by my assigned service advisor and vehicle technician who explained the process.
As I was due a big service, they advised me I would be there for at least 3 hours, but this was no hardship at all!
I was offered to wait in the open-plan lounge or in a private office hub. I chose the hub so I could work while I waited, and it was a very nice space to work from - clean and bright with glass doors so I could check out what my next Volvo upgrade might be! A member of staff made me a lovely cappuccino and got me logged on to the super-fast wi-fi. I got so in the zone in the inspiring surroundings I ended up staying until the dealership was closing!
The service advisor gave me an overview of the service and advised that I may be looking at new tyres in a few months, but you don't feel like there's any hard sell at all, he explained that I could wait. I also mentioned a small part that was missing from an accident we’d had last year, and he called me the next day after checking with head office and ordered the part for me for just £2!
To add, the icing on the cake, my car had been valeted inside and out so I really felt like I was stepping into a brand-new car.
The Volvo Cars Poole service experience has won me over and their Adaptive Servicing really breaks the mould; where not everyone does 18,000 miles a year, Volvo Cars Poole offers adaptive servicing which takes into consideration what the car needs based on the service history and the annual mileage, not by a one size fits all schedule. This means they only replace what’s necessary to be more sustainable as a brand and it also keeps running and ownership costs low for customers whilst maintaining the vehicle to manufacturer standards.
I genuinely can't imagine using any other car brand again. Not only do I love the car but the experience with Volvo Cars Poole is always a positive one; the staff are all super friendly and helpful, the lounge and remote working areas are a really nice place to work, and the service stands out for its comprehensive inspection and attention to detail.
If you're looking for a reliable car service provider, I highly recommend the Volvo Cars Poole.
