Heidi Skirrow, Director at Skora HR, has a great July coming up!

It’s July which is the second summer month and one which has a real sporty feel – including the Wimbledon, British Open Golf and the Tour de France!

Up today is Heidi Skirrow, Director at Skora HR. Skora HR is an outsourced HR Company that helps Business Owners whose HR ‘to do’ list and people problems are getting in the way.

Skora HR supports businesses with contracts, handbooks and HR policies and more so that business owners can focus on what they do best whilst knowing that Skora HR have them covered.

What are your plans for July in your business? 
We’re busy analysing the Labour Green paper in terms of its impacts on employers and potential changes in employment to make sure we’re ahead of the game!

Do you like sport – and if so do any sporting tournaments or events stand out for you this month or coming up? Do you engage in any sports you’d like to mention? Are you a member of a local team at all?
Our lives are immersed in football and July is no different. It’s the summer of tournaments for both my children and of course we’ve been loving the Euro’s. The France v Portugal game being our favourite watch so far (sorry England!)

On a much lighter note – July 17 is World Emoji Day and this often trends on social media. What do you think of emojis? Do you use them? Can you think of a new one or what’s your favourite one? 
I love emojis! I’m quite an expressive person, so emojis help me convey that personality when I write.  I use the smiley and laughing ones loads. 

Can you name one business you’d like to give a summer shout out too? Who has gone the extra mile for you recently? 
I'd love to give a shout out to Shaka Surf! They’ve got some fab stuff happening over the summer to keep my kids happy ??.  Shaka Surf

As a consumer have you visited a local business, bought their products or services and thought ‘I must recommend them’! What business would you recommend this summer?
I recently visited the new ‘Old Harry Rocks’ restaurant at the NICI in Bournemouth with some friends.  Food and service was great. A lovely, relaxed holiday vibe.  A definite ‘must go back’!
