Diverse Abilities hosted their Gala Ball at the Lighthouse, sponsored by Franses Jewellers, with entertainment sponsored by Colten Care and wine by Forelle Estates. Hosted by Heart FM’s Rich Clarke, this year’s theme was Willy Wonka, and guests were treated to entertainment from dancing Oompa Loompas (from Ranger School of Dance), as well as Jodie Elms and Funkty Dumpty. More than £70,000 was raised for the charity through ticket sales, auctions, raffles and donations.

SNAPPED: Poole Harbour Festival 2023

This was our third year attending Poole Harbour Festival, and it was their busiest on record. We had an absolute blast and loved the mix of the acts and bands they signed. Our highlights were the Cheeky Girls, The Prodigy, The Hoosiers and The Lightening Seeds and Jaguar Skills DJ in the new Dance Tent was the best live DJ set I've ever witnessed. It was great to see a mix of ages all enjoying themselves in all the weather the weekend delivered. The popularity of the event did mean that there were long queues for the bar, (the toilet queues were long but went really quickly) and all the bar staff were friendly, and it definitely improved throughout the weekend. I'm sure management are well prepared for this huge popularity of future events. We're buzzing for next year already! Here are a few highlights from the weekend...

My husband and I are always on the lookout for new and exciting ways to spend quality family time - and the more outdoorsy and adventurous the better. So, when we discovered Breeze had just started offering hire of their VW Campervans, we knew we had found the perfect solution. I must admit though that I was slightly apprehensive after an utter camping disaster when my now almost 3-year-old was 1, and we had to cut our 5 day camping trip after 2 nights with a total of 4 hours sleep, but I was determined to give it another try - but this time in a Campervan rather than a tent.
