Riding for Poole showed Brennan a 'new way in speedway'

British star Tom Brennan revealed how racing for Poole Pirates this season showed him a “new way in speedway”.

The 23-year-old proved a key factor in helping Pirates lift the SGB Championship, Knockout Cup and BSN Series titles.

Brennan forged a powerful heat leader trio alongside Ben Cook and Richard Lawson, as Poole made it a clean sweep of team trophies in the sport’s second tier.

Speaking to the club website, Brennan said: "It's been a pretty incredible season for myself and obviously to be part of the Pirates has shown me a new way in speedway.

“I think that's the only way I can put it. People just don’t understand what it's like to come and be a part of it.

“But even when you're part of it, you don't actually really know what makes it so special.

“There's kind of something about this club that will obviously stick with me forever and yeah, like I said, it has definitely shown me a new way in speedway.

“It's an absolute honour to represent the Pirates this year and it's everything the club deserves and I am just so grateful that obviously we could win it all for you, the fans.”

Pirates have already signed number one Lawson for the 2025 campaign, with the rest of the squad yet to be announced.
