Brennan believes Poole Pirates fans will add fuel to his fire in 2024
New recruit Tom Brennan vowed the passion of the Poole Pirates fans will add fuel to the fire for him in 2024.
The Great Britain international is set to don the skull and crossbones for the first time in his career when he links up with his new teammates this spring.
Brennan previously detailed how he emailed owner Matt Ford in a bid strike a deal for the upcoming campaign, after he had remarkably not been approached by any SGB Championship clubs.
And with the 22-year-old set to make his debut for Pirates in the BSN Series at home against Oxford next month, he is excited to get going with the Wimborne Road side.
He told the club’s official website: “I am really excited about joining Poole and as I have said before, looking in from the outside, Poole has always seemed to be a very professionally run club and to have the chance to be part of it is something very special indeed.
“I am really honoured to be here after so many years of kind of racing behind them and I am looking forward to it.
"It is also going to be good to be able to meet with the fans.
“Poole supporters are renowned for being some of the most passionate in the sport and now they are part of my home club that really serves to put fuel to the fire so to speak."

Brennan has been on the bike this month, having represented a rest of the world team in a Test Challenge against USA in California – scoring 17 points in the process.
"It seems a long time ago since we were racing last season but, since Christmas was over, we have hit the fast forward button,” said the Swindon-born racer.
“It is one of those things that speedway comes round pretty quick and even though it feels like a long off-season, things will be underway really soon.
“Now I have had the time away racing in America I have blown the cobwebs away and felt what it is like to be back in the zone and soak up the atmosphere and I am really looking forward to the season ahead."
