Cairns targets treble in first season at Poole Pirates
Teenage sensation Will Cairns outlined his ambition to win the treble with Poole Pirates this season, when he joins them later in the year.
The 15-year-old has agreed an 18-month contract at Wimborne Road, meaning he will also be on board for the 2026 campaign.
He does not turn 16, the minimum age for a Championship rider, until June 29th and will step into the septet on a 2.00 average when he is old enough to compete.
Asked for his ambitions this season, Cairns said: “Win the treble with Poole. I think that’s going to be the main goal.
“And just have fun, try to keep it fun. It gets really serious really quick. June 29th is when it really gets busy and I’ve got to start focusing.
“But it’s going to be good. We are just going to try to have fun and win the treble.”
Cairns, who is also signed to ride in Sweden and Poland this season, is set to ride his first meeting for Poole against Glasgow at Wimborne Road on July 2nd.
The Pirates begin their league campaign on April 16th, when they make the trip to face Oxford in the BSN Series.
