AFC Bournemouth's women reach incredible milestone

AFC Bournemouth’s women have celebrated an incredible milestone of going TWO YEARS unbeaten in league competition.

The club last lost a league fixture on March 5, 2023, when they were beaten away at Cardiff City.

The Cherries have won all 16 of their league games this campaign, meaning they sit top of Division One South West of the FA Women’s National League.

Having also gone unbeaten in the division last season, they were remarkably denied top spot and promotion by Exeter City, who also went the entire campaign without losing.

As well as their staggering unbeaten run, Steve Cuss’s side have also gone more than 1,000 minutes without conceding a league goal.

AFC Bournemouth’s women are in action at Vitality Stadium against Bristol Rovers on Sunday, March 23rd.

Tickets are available to purchase via this link.

The fixture against Bristol Rovers comes after more than 6,000 people witnessed the Cherries beat Swindon Town in a memorable top-of-the-table clash at Vitality Stadium back in November.
