Ford pleased to welcome exciting young talents in National Development League Riders' Championship
Poole Pirates promoter Danny Ford is excited to host some of the most exciting young talents in British speedway, as the National Development League Riders' Championship comes to Wimborne Road.
The home of Poole will stage for the individual final on Wednesday (7.30pm), for riders competing in the third tier of the sport in Britain.
And Ford, who has seen some of the biggest names on track at Wimborne Road go on to the top level, is excited to see the next generation compete on the south coast.
He told the club website: "As part of our commitment to the development of riders which we signed up to at the winter AGM, we are delighted to be able to bring this marquee event of the NDL season to Poole
"We had initially hoped to have used this spare date in our calendar to fulfil our semi-final home leg in either the Knockout Cup or the BSN Series.
“But unfortunately neither Scunthorpe nor Workington, respectively, could accommodate us, so with the staging of the NDLRC at least we can all look forward to some racing at Wimborne Road, given that it has been a bit of a barren month for us."
