Ford urges Pirates fans to propel team to historic treble
Promoter Danny Ford urged the Poole Pirates fans to get behind their team once again as they go in search of an historic treble.
Having won the SGB Championship play-off final against Oxford Cheetahs at Wimborne Road last Wednesday, Pirates are set to renew rivalries with the Cheetahs in the finale of Knockout Cup.
With the scheduled first leg at Wimborne Road postponed due to rain, Pirates will now visit Oxford in the first leg on Thursday, October 17th.
They will now stage the second leg of the contest next Wednesday, October 23rd as they look to add one more trophy to their cabinet alongside the league crown and the BSN Series.

Ford told the club website: "Last Wednesday was an unbelievable night and will live with us all for a very long time.
“The atmosphere generated was off the scale and as the riders all admitted the enthusiasm, support and wall of sound from our passionate supporters certainly fired us on to that incredible victory.
“It was no coincidence that Toby (Tobias Thomsen) achieved his best score of the season as he clearly thrives on the atmosphere
“I would certainly welcome our fans getting right behind the lads again as we go in search of the treble."
Another trophy would mark 31 pieces of silverware picked up by Poole under the guidance of owner Matt Ford and team boss Neil Middleditch.
