Perry poised to get going in quest at Poole

Rising star Max Perry said he could not wait to get involved as part of the fold at Poole Pirates.

The talented teenager has been on the mend after suffering a broken and dislocated right wrist, a broken right ankle and bruising to the lungs following a crash in the National Development League grand final last November.

But having got back on the bike in France last week, Perry is now ready to kick on having been snapped up by Poole at reserve for 2024.

He told the club website: "I can't wait to be involved with all the team at Poole and, importantly, learn from them all.

“Poole is really a new track for me but I know that plans are in place to help and support me to get to where I want to be.”

Outlining his ambitions for the campaign, Perry added: "Be consistent with my point scoring. Beat my opposing rider and stay in the Poole team for the duration of the season."

Pirates begin their campaign in the BSN Series with a home clash against Oxford on Friday, March 29.
