Pirates get that Friday feeling after crucial Plymouth clash rearranged
Poole Pirates have acted quickly to rearrange their crucial BSN Series home group clash against Plymouth Gladiators to this Friday (May 24).
The decision came after the Wednesday night’s scheduled staging of the contest was thwarted by rain.
Promoter Danny Ford said: "The weather has conspired against us once again with yellow warnings in place and rain throughout the day.
“We have moved swiftly to re-arrange the fixture for Friday as we are keen to get our group matches completed as soon as possible, so that the competition can progress to the semi-final stages, of which we are determined to be part of.
"Although Fridays are not a regular race night for us, we are hoping that we can still attract a good, enthusiastic crowd and with, generally, no school on Saturday, those levels may be increased, especially with our 'kids go free' offer."

The decision means Poole host the Gladiators on Friday (7.30pm), before heading to the Coliseum for the reverse fixture on Saturday.
The winner of the aggregate bonus point between the two sides will progress to the semi-finals of the competition.
Pirates won the inaugural staging of the BSN Series last season.
